Six million years ago, giant sloths, saber-toothed cats, horned rodents, and a huge diversity of other organisms roamed our region. In this Science Café presented by Inland Northwest Concerned Scientists, Dr. John Orcutt of Gonzaga University discusses his research on the fossils of these organisms, what they tell us about the history and evolution of life, and how they provide clues to the impacts of modern climate change.
