With the recent success of the American team in the Women's World Cup, interest in football (soccer) has grown tremendously. Ivan Torres from Spokane's Hispanic Business/Professional Association examines the sport's significance in Latin America and its exploitation through politics and drug cartels. He also addresses the social, cultural and spiritual meaning in many Latin American countries. This program is one of SPL's events celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
