Ham on Regal

Now in its 54th year, Ferris High School’s annual Ham on Regal fundraiser gives students a chance to laugh at adults without getting hauled into the principal’s office. Parents and teachers are the creative force behind the show: They write the comic sketches, choreograph the musical numbers, design the sets and play all the roles, and the goal is to look as ridiculous as possible. That shouldn’t be hard to do with this year’s theme, “When Pigs Fly,” which spoofs cable TV and transplants famous Saturday Night Live characters into other popular programs. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Ferris academic programs and athletics. (Bonus: the Inlander’s own Ted and Anne McGregor are part of the cast this year, so keep your eyes peeled.)

Sun, March 12 at 2 pm; Sat, March 18 at 1:30 pm • $7 • Wed-Sat, March 15-18 at 7:30 pm • $9 • Ferris High School • 3020 E. 37th •
