Humanities Washington: Think and Drink

As the Republican presidential primary season continues to set new lows for political discourse, the folks at Humanities Washington want to call a timeout to sit back, have a drink and figure out how the hell we got to this level of insanity. For the next installment in its Think & Drink series, Humanities Washington welcomes Cornell Clayton, the director of Washington State University’s Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service and Travis Ridout, a WSU professor and co-author of The Persuasive Power of Campaign Advertising. The pair will discuss the history of political anger, the role of media and also whether things will calm down any time soon. Gonzaga professor and author/poet Shann Ray moderates the event.
