No one disputes that musicians are artists, but so, too, are the brilliant designers who craft the instruments that make all that music possible in the first place. This Saturday, the Palomino hosts a showcase for both local musicians and builders: Not only is the evening’s lineup loaded with acclaimed Spokane artists, but all of the equipment on stage — the guitars, amps and pedals — are the product of local engineers and luthiers (a fancy term for folks who build stringed instruments). Performers include local roots rockers Folkinception and singer-songwriters Alex Ashley, Ruthie Henrickson and N. Sherman.
