Re: “What We Aren't

Lived in Spokane my whole life. I've tried other places. I currently go to school in Missoula Montana. Most everyone judges Spokane for a ten block radius know as Hillyard. My highschool was smack dab in the middle of that area. I lived in the Valley in the Ponderosa. My friends lived all over the "two" cities as did my family. South hill, downtown, Airway Heights, Indian Trail, Valley...etc. I was born on Valleyway back in the 90s when it was a ghetto. Now I can drive down it and see young families sprouting. I lived a very poor life and my father and mother worked harder than I will ever understand. Now we are well off and they live In Ponderosa. I went to Horizon Middle School, Valley Christian, Ponderosa Elementary, U-High, and ended up at G-Prep. I am one of few who truly can say I've experienced every part and crowd of the Spokanite life. No one can tell me that my city and it's people are not up to par. We are by and large kind folk but we never have or will be beneath someone else's brattish boot.
