Women in Agriculture

"WE CAN DO IT" is the theme for the sixth annual conference, an interactive day of learning and networking with other women farmers. The one-day event is held simultaneously in 40 locations throughout Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington; events are held locally in Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, Colville, Ritzville, Republic, Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint. $30/person. Native American Men in Contemporary America

Levi Horn from the Northern Cheyenne tribe discusses the experience of being a Native American man in contemporary America. Horn, a 2005 graduate of John R. Rogers High School, overcame a difficult upbringing to become an offensive tackle in the National Football League. This program is part of the SPL's celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
