Lifeways Workshop: Make Your Own Plateau Basketry

In this authentic Coeur d’Alene Tribal member-guided workshop, create a full-size Columbia Plateau “Sally Bag” Basket. Oct. 23 at 2 pm Oct 24 starting at 10 am. Each session is 6 hours and is held in the Camas Room upstairs. Basketry is often used in cultural ceremonies, giveaways, births, name-givings, first-food gatherings, weddings, funerals, memorials and other events. Long ago, basket making was only done in the wintertime. Ages 18+
