Lissa Robison with Ferris HS Art Students

Local high school students learn about world, build empathy, through collaborative art project with refugees living in Spokane. With this as the starting point, each student created an original piece of artwork on a large square of canvas. The individual canvases were then all sewn together to make a large quilt-like tarp that is hung from a frame to invoke a refugee tent. The viewer must walk inside the tent to take in the artwork on the walls and ceiling all around.
