Re: “Media firestorm swirls around Rachel Dolezal, the local NAACP president

Rachel Dolezal is a dedicated and principled person who is giving a great deal to our community for equality, justice, and human rights, and working very hard to do so in ways that support others' emerging leadership as well. Her actions in leadership and in giving to our community are what matters to me. I am really disappointed and outraged at this horrendous bandwagoning and fevered sensationalism. What happens inside families is often kept invisible from outsiders. I don't think there is anything here that's reportable by what I think should be the standards of ethical journalism.

Re: “First and Foremost

I got balloons for my sons to play with in an obstacle course they'll build so I can maybe write something while they play instaed of refereeing constantly. And I'm determined to do at least 15 minutes of exercise today even though they think me being on the floor is a cue for tackling.

Re: “Why people camping out for the new iPhone won't be cited under the sit-lie law

Buying a phone is an economic purpose. Asking for financial support in a time of need is ALSO an economic purpose, it just doesn't benefit any businesses that "matter."

Frederick Douglass said it's easier to build whole children than repair broken men. Right on, Taylor!
