Re: “Unforgiven

Felony conviction for legend drugs in 2002. I received the DOSA program rather than the 2 years. Total time spent incarcerated was 8 months. The last 3 months was work release here in Spokane. I completed the program as well as community custody. I kept my employment at Northpointe Retirement Community. In March of 2010 I was called to the supervisors office and terminated because of changes in the Secretary list of crimes and negative actions. During my employment I bought a house, 2 yuppie dogs, and was buying my 2nd Jeep. I was caught off guard and never expected to loose my job. I was devasted and literally felt that the "American Dream" was being ripped from under my feet. I made hundreds of calls and wrote letters to state legislatures, the Attorney General, Center for Justice, the ACLU, even our State Senator. Not one person had an explanation "why" I was able to keep my job as long as I did than suddenly without any problems get fired due to the felony conviction. I was told I could no longer be a Certified Nursing Assistant. I started college and graduated with an Associates of Applied Science Medical Billing and Coding November 20!4. I have applied for hundreds of jobs and after the background check it stops there. I will never stop trying to land my dream job. Seriously I have read the posts and it scares me cause I can't make it without a job. Popcorn for dinner with my 2 yuppie dogs.
