Metal Casting and Sand Mold Workshop

Go through the process of making sand molds, safely melting metals in an electric kiln and the pouring of molten metal. The class begins with an SC! logo coaster used to make a two-part sand mold. This mold is then filled with aluminum, as finishing techniques are discussed. During the second part of the workshop, staff work with attendees to create a sand mold of something they've brought.
