On Friday, March 17, 1944, St. Patrick’s Day, the most recent eruption of Italy’s famous Mount Vesuvius began. 1944 was also the year allied forces invaded Italy, leading the U.S. Air Force to take control of evacuating residents. Join us in remembering and honoring this spectacular event in world history and to celebrate the year 1944! Event includes live hot jazz, swing music and dancing with Spokane’s Zonky Jazz Band.
