Natsu Matsuri! A Japanese Summer Festival for Children
When: Sat., May 23, 3:30-4:30 p.m. 2020
Natsu Matsuri has been held for hundreds of years in Japan. Its purpose is to wish for a good harvest and catch of fish, and also for the health of family and community. This Matsuri, we will make chopstick rubberband shooters, paper samurai helmets, carp streamers and do yo-yo (tiny balloon-fishing). This program celebrates Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month.
