Naughty by Nature, Tone Lōc

Back in the day, the double bill of Naughty By Nature and Tone Lōc would have been an arena-filling proposition, so big were the hits delivered by both the New Jersey-bred hip-hop trio and the SoCal-raised, gruff-voiced rapper. For a few years, both artists were in heavy rotation on MTV and pop radio, thanks to tunes like Naughty By Nature’s “O.P.P.” and “Hip Hop Hooray” and Tone Lōc’s “Funky Cold Medina” and Van Halen-sampling “Wild Thing.” Life at the top of the charts didn’t last forever, but both acts are total pros who know how to host a concert party. Be prepared to throw your hands in the air, yes, like you just don’t care.
