New Excavations at Ancient Sinope

In this second Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) lecture for 2015-16, Dr. Andrew Goldman discusses the preliminary results of a new project by Gonzaga University and several other institutions that seeks to decipher the history of the complex and fascinating city of Ancient Sinope and its massive fortifications, which was located on the Black Sea coast of Turkey and destroyed during the wars of the Late Roman Republic.
