Numbers & Nerves: Communicating Information and Emotion in the Context of Environmental Justice

Dr. Scott Slovic is professor of literature, environment and natural resources and society at the University of Idaho. Trained at Stanford and Brown universities, he is one of the world leaders in the field known as the environmental humanities. He's edited the major journal in environmental literary studies (ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment) since 1995, and has published more than 300 articles and written /edited 27 books. He travels around the world to give lectures and lead writing workshops.
