On the Street

Which Democrat running for president has caught your eye?

WILL BOYDEN

Beto O'Rourke.

And why is that?

What he's really standing for is the principles of our government and upholding the ideas of the Constitution, because beyond, like, the politics of everyday life, that's what I see as the most important thing — upholding what our founders created.

ANDREW GOLDMAN

Warren.

Elizabeth Warren?

I really appreciate the way that she takes the facts and deals with them, unlike our present administration. Facts mean something. And I really think I'd like to see somebody as president who has that kind of understanding. And she says "I have a plan," I appreciate that.

ANDREW WILLIAMSON

Elizabeth Warren.

And why's that?

I think she actually cares about workers, about people. She's tough. She has a background that I like. She was a former special ed teacher and [I'm] in the [Gonzaga] School of Education. I trust her. She has integrity. She's the only candidate who will really go after corruption.

JUNYEUB YU

Beto maybe, and Warren.

And why is that?

No, sorry, what was the other guy who served in the [Navy] and was gay?

Pete Buttigieg?

Buttigieg, yeah. I think he has more fresh ideas compared to Biden and Sanders. Biden is establishment and Sanders is too radical for a lot of moderate Americans to vote for.

ANTHONY MEDINA

Bernie Sanders I think from the last election is still carrying a lot of steam for me as an individual. I really like his policies, and Elizabeth Warren I think similarly is catching my eye. So those are the two candidates I think probably have the most national presence and I think would do really well as president. And I'm kind of vibing with both of them.
