Across the U.S., 82% of 235 woody plant species were first used in landscaping. Many invasive plants often listed on state noxious weed lists were introduced for agricultural or soil conservation purposes. In Washington, 34% of all invasive species are of horticultural origin. In his presentation, Dr. Bunting discusses the causes for and suggested solutions to the problem of invasive species.
