In a rendition set in the 1950s, Arthur Miller’s The Crucible tells a dramatized and partly fictionalized story of the real-life Salem witch trials that took place from 1692-1693 in colonial Massachusetts. All proceeds from the performance go to the Washington Innocence Project.
