Reading + Documentary: Diana Morita Cole

Cole was labelled an "enemy alien" by the U.S. government when she was just a child, having been born a prisoner of the Minidoka Concentration Camp in Idaho. Her book "Sideways: Memoir of a Misfit" presents her struggle to overcome stigma and understand her personal identity as an American Nikkei (Japanese immigrant[s] and their descendants).
