Salish: First Peoples, First Tongue

Join Salish School founder LaRae Wiley to learn about the first language of the Northwest and her struggle to keep it alive. LaRae is a member of the Arrow Lake Band of the Colville Confederate Tribes. She is also a talented singer/musician with two collections of original music on her Humming Tree recording label. She will be joined by her husband Chris Parker, Principal of the Salish School and a leading expert in the revitalization and curriculum development of Salish language.
