Seeking Suffrage: Lecture Series

Learn about the worldwide background for the American suffrage campaigns with Karen Offen of the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford. This presentation compares the women's suffrage campaigns in the U.S. with those in France, Great Britain and Germany. The Seeking Suffrage Lecture Series is a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, granting women the right to vote. The series is hosted by the Latah County Historical Society, Moscow League of Woman’s Voters, U of I’s College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, supported by the Idaho Humanities Council.
