The annual Spokane River Clean-Up is primarily focused on picking up debris and litter around the river, keeping our city’s most prominent natural resource as near perfect as possible, but it also allows you to cross “exercise” and “socialize” off your to-do list. This year’s event was pushed back a week due to poor air quality, but it’s back on again this Saturday, starting bright and early and going into the afternoon. This year’s clean-up is “virtual,” but that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to participate from your den. You’ll need to sign up online and select the area you and your group would prefer, and then you’ll work in small groups at safe distances. Pick up trash bags and gloves in advance at the Lands Council’s downtown offices at 25 W. Main Ave.
