When: Sat., May 9, 8-10 p.m. and Sun., May 10, 3-5 p.m. 2015
The final Spokane Symphony classical concert of the season kicks off with a bang — Frank Zappa’s Dupree's Paradise. Composed in 1983, the legendary songwriter’s jazz/rock flavors are sure to ignite the Fox Theater stage. The concert also includes a sultry and virtuosic tango-infused accordion concerto performed by Spokane-based accordionist Patricia Bartell, and concludes with a Saint-Saens symphony featuring the pipe organ. Certainly a variation from the usual classical program.
