See and hear Spokane Taiko Japanese Drummers perform and join a hands-on workshop at the AAPI Heritage Day. Spokane Taiko, founded in 1997, follows a traditional Japanese music tradition. It embodies the spirit of Taiko as an ancient Japanese art form, while honoring its vitality as a living artistic expression. The public can try out the big drums at 1 pm.
Heritage Day is a public cultural event highlighting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) history, culture, and the arts, held on CenterPlace’s new west lawn plaza. The event features AAPI vendors, artists & musicians.
