Starting this weekend, the Spokane Art School is hosting a vibrant watercolor art exhibit featuring work from members of the Spokane Watercolor Society. The show is free and open to the public each Friday and Saturday through the end of July. Jodi Davis, office manager at the Spokane Art School, says that only five viewers are allowed inside the gallery at a time, masks are required and social distancing is being taken very seriously to abide to COVID-19 regulations. The July show features 103 watercolor pieces in total; each work measures 8-by-8-inches in size, and are showcased together on two walls. Paintings are hung only two inches apart, giving a feeling of togetherness while also celebrating the differences of each individual artist behind them.
July 10-31; open Fri-Sat from 10 am-2 pm • Spokane Art School • 811 W. Garland Ave. • spokaneartschool.net • 325-1500
