Spokane Writers Supporting Kids in Need of Defense

A literary marathon of sorts: 20 Spokane writers each read a poem or two at this fast-paced smorgasbord of words with the goal to raise money for KIND, an organization that works to protect the rights of children migrating alone or who are caught in the crosshairs of our current immigration crisis. Cash and PayPal donations accepted, all proceeds will be used for Uber/Safeway/Ross gift cards to go directly to families in Washington suffering separation (this is a high-demand, direct request from KIND per the families it is serving). Featured writers: Ben Cartwright, Rebecca Chadwell, Kris Dinnison, Tim Greenup, Joseph Edwin Haeger, Melissa Huggins, Tod Marshall, Mika Maloney, Brooke Matson, Karen Mobley, Davy Jones Nguyen, Kate Peterson, Stephen Pitters, Erin Pringle, Nicole Sheets, Sharma Shields, Kat Smith, Kevin Taylor, Nance van Winckel and Aileen Keown Vaux.
