Spokarnage: A Killer Roller Derby Tournament

Two dozen teams of badass derby dames converge on the Lilac City this weekend for the third annual Spokarnage roller derby tournament. It’s crazy to think how much roller derby has grown locally and nationally in the three years since the inaugural tourney — the Inland Northwest is now home to more than 10 leagues, each with multiple teams, including junior and coed. Spectators at Spokarnage get to see more than the fast-paced excitement of teams whizzing around the track, elbows jabbing and flying — there’s also a motorcyle show, beer garden, live music and vendor fair.
