Re: “The Macy's Plan

I think it would be a perfect spot for low income downtown housing. We could call them the "Bernie apartments" and they could come with free medical and utilities. Ron Wells could turn it into the place he envisioned for the Ridpath Hotel. I bet Macy's knows who owns the building and could sell it without a decade long court battle.

Why build a grocery store? The typical food stamp recipient does not cook anyway. We should use the ground floor for a feeding station, cafeteria or some sort of chow hall for the local riffraff to enjoy a home cooked meal. People with jobs would pay for their meals on a sliding scale based on their income.

It would work like this; homeless man eats FREE at the Bernie Kitchen, a South Hill lawyer making $200,000 per year pays $125.00 for lunch. Seconds and drink refills are free of course but no sugary drinks and anything with to much salt, meat, trans-fats or corn syrup. Everything GMO free and boiled in water to insure it is healthy.

The 2nd floor could be a huge TV and game room with pool tables, card games, computers for surfing internet porn and X-box by the dozen. Maybe a medical center or methadone clinic and a weed shop that takes EBT cards? No reason for an employment office, none whatsoever. Then nine floors of studio, one and two bedroom apartments, maybe a gym and roof gardens for growing your own.

No worries about parking, since these people do cannot produce ID to vote, they must not have driver's licenses. There is of course room for a gender neutral day care and pre-school for the kiddies.

I see a bright future for downtown Spokane, the glow of burning trash barrels on every corner and retailers heading for the hills to avoid the mandatory $23 per hour, sick and vacation days required by the "Envision Spokane" crowd. It is no mystery why major retailers are slipping away.

Re: “Bathroom Bigotry

Why is this a problem? With $20 TRILLION in national DEBT, 47 million people on food stamps, uncontrolled illegal immigration, endless Obama foreign policy failures, a failure governing this state and veterans left to die in the street by a VA system that helps almost no one.

We are wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands of man-hours in political clout so that the three weirdoes who desperately want to pee standing up in the ladies room can feel good about themselves.

Re: “'Evil Intent'

Why are socialists so concerned when the police shoot a criminal? The person shot, 99.999999% of the time is a criminal with an extensive felony record of crimes dating back to middle school and it threatening, fighting with, assaulting or otherwise trying to kill the policeman or civilians.

What is it that keep a socialist from caring about the life and safety of a cop?

Why don't socialists care about the rights, safety and property of law abiding people?

Why is it that they take to the streets for the protection of thugs and they are utterly silent with an honest person is robbed, raped or murdered? Do they really expect a law enforcement officer to let a Hispanic man crush his skull with a grapefruit sized rock for the sake of political correctness?

It clearly explains their support for people like the Clinton's if nothing else.

Re: “The Climate Menu

I guess this explains why climate concerned druggies eat so many French fries when they are stoned. I wonder? How much carbon does it take to grow, refine and illegally import a kilo of heroin? How much for a kilo of meth or a pound of pot? Maybe we could have a nice article on the carbon footprint of the average into grow operation?

Worried about my steak and so unconcerned about all of the environmental damage from your drug habit. You are just silly. What about the dangers from all of the mercury in your eco light bulbs? No concern at all for all of the petro-chemicals used to make your trendy North Face crap or the slave labor that makes your cheap cotton clothes in a third world country.

There is something about people who are so insistent about regulating and restricting the behavior of others. Why can't they try and control themselves first?

Re: “White Men With Guns

It is all but impossible to ignore federal laws and regulations. Obama's cronies are passing about 5,000 new regulations quarterly. Much like the laws the socialists pass, they are largely unread by the people demanding them, voting for them or enforcing them.

The problem might be that these farmers and ranchers have no idea they are breaking the law because everything they are doing was legal a few days ago.

"White men with guns" is you being racist by the way. Your self hatred is apparent, are you trying to be the new Dolezal person on the paper?

Re: “Firearms and Lies

The mystery is for all of the bloviating the socialists do about "gun control" they steadfastly refuse to prosecute felons for gun related crimes. Not once in all of Obama's tear squirting over dramatized self-worship did he mention anything about stopping an actual felon from using a gun in a crime. NOT ONCE.

Why would using the existing federal laws to prosecute felons with guns be important? Well, those felons commit about 80% of gun related murders. Stopping them would be a good first step for reducing the murder rate. The problem is those same felons are democrats and good socialist voters. Their families are usually on welfare, food stamps and every other government program known to man. Putting them in jail would alienate the base.

As always, socialist gun policy has everything to do with persecuting law abiding citizens, regulating legal behavior and increasing taxes, fees and regulations until a Constitutional right becomes onerous and impossible to exercise. The question is why? Why doesn't socialism object to crime, criminals and criminal behavior?

There are laws on the books to address every gun related problem that currently exists in this country and they are all but unenforced by the federal government. Why?

Re: “Strategic Decisions

Strategic means; relating to the identification of long-term or overall aims and interests and the means of achieving them:

The current idiot in the White House has no idea what it means and has no plan remotely resembling "strategic". His plan is to blame Bush, demand gun control as requested by billionaires like Mike Bloomberg and rant about religious intolerance when anyone questions the religion of hate and suicide bombs.

What is the "overall aim" of the progressives? They have no plan to control immigration, no plan to control terrorism, no plan to increased America's energy independence, no plan to balance the nation's budget or control spending, no plan or way to vet the ISIS members they want to import to our nation and generally speaking no plans for our economy that will benefit a working person.

Progressives leapt to blame the NRA for a terrorist attack in California, no NRA member was involved in the attack by the way. It was muslims, yet again. They demanded we impose stricter gun control on innocents and offered nothing in the way of enforcement of laws against criminals or terrorists. This should surprise no one, their agenda is about totalitarianism and subjugation of the civil population with a federal police force. Progressives support terrorists because terrorists will help them reach their goals.

Meanwhile this guy imported a terrorist bride from Pakistan on a K-1 visa filled with false information and no one at the state department caught any of it. If these people cannot "vet" a person from one of our muslim allies in the war on terror, how the hell can they vet ISIS members from a failed state like Syria?

We would not have to refight this war. I lost friends over there. I think Saddam was doing a good job of keeping those people in line. Their entire culture is based on tribalism, murder, vendettas and hate of one another. If Obama was not working so hard to cripple the energy industry in this country, we would have be self powering and have no use for their part of the world. We could be exporting energy to our European allies and giving them security from middle eastern dictators and Russian oligarchs, instead we are destroying the oil and gas industry for the sake of a prairie chicken and crippling our factories with tens of thousands of new regulations a year since 2009.

The question is, can we survive a two-pronged attack from socialism and Islamic extremists?
