SpoKrampus Art Show

For those of us who get overwhelmed by all the treacly holiday action that arrives with Thanksgiving and never relents until New Year’s Day, a little weirdness is a welcome respite. And Giant Nerd Books knows how to make weirdness fun, like with its SpoKrampus Art Show opening party Friday night. It’s not their first celebration of “the demon of St. Nick’s Day,” but it’s the first one at their killer new location in the Garland District. Some 17 artists are taking part, offering a wide array of images of ol’ Krampus (according to some, the son of the Norse god of the underworld). Meet the artists, delve into some hors d’oeuvres, and maybe have a pop at Garland Brew Werks next door, as long as you’re in the neighborhood.
