When Steve Martin and Martin Short first started touring together, it seemed a curious pairing. Sure, they’re both consummate comedy pros and old friends, but what would a show look like that combines Martin’s banjo-playing, often-highbrow persona with Short’s song-and-dance shtick and more slapstick style? Turns out when you cast any preconceptions aside, you find yourself delighted by a night of storytelling, improv joking and music, as captured on the duo’s Netflix special An Evening You Will Forget For The Rest Of Your Life. Clearly they’re having fun on the road together as they’ve been touring for several years now. And happily, after having to cancel a previous Spokane date, the comedy legends are finally making their way to the Inland Northwest.
