Through a partnership established by Gonzaga University professor John Caputo, Spokane hosted a delegation of 10 high school students from Cagli, Italy, for a 17-day cultural immersion visit (July 25-Aug. 11). The students visited ahead of the October 2016 designation of Cagli and Spokane as Sister Cities. During their stay, they visited local landmarks (including Manito Park), improved their English speaking skills and learned about American culture.
