The Dip

When soulful Seattle six-piece band The Dip rolls through town this Friday, it’ll be a bit of a homecoming for drummer and Spokane native Jarred Katz, who graduated from Lewis and Clark High School. Katz then attended the University of Washington, where he met the other members of The Dip. The group has released four funk-filled albums, the most recent of which is Love Direction, an 11-song sonically satisfying quest for poignant lyrics and bouncy melodies that tug at the heartstrings and leave you grooving along to every last beat. The band’s show at the Knit won’t be any different. You know what they say: I dip, you dip, we dip, The Dip!
