Three Generations: Wendy Franklund-Miller, Melissa Lang & Kate Lund

An exhibit by three regional women artists, separated by generations. All three artists explore the natural world through drawing, painting and sculpture and are influenced by personal encounters with the natural environment, eventually pairing down to degrees of abstraction. Lund investigates her own orientation to the “natural rugged mountainous wilderness and exposed flats.” Lang explores natural forms both macro and micro view. Franklin-Miller begins her works with found objects that weave their way into abstraction through line composition and form. April 9-May 11; open Mon-Fri from 8:30 am-3:30 pm. Panel discussion April 18 at 11:30 am, in Building 24, Room 110.
