The news of local comedian Tony Russell’s death was met with an outpouring from the local comedy scene, as fellow performers and friends shared stories about what a funny and generous guy he was. On Monday night, some of Russell’s comedy pals are gathering at the Spokane Comedy Club, where Russell was both a regular performer and an employee, to pay tribute to him, and hopefully do some healing in the form of laughter. The show is followed by a silent auction, with proceeds going toward Russell’s family and to local suicide prevention charities. Admission is free, but you’ll need to make reservations for your seats on the club’s website.
