First of all - Thank You to Mitch Ryals for writing this story. This is a well written piece that needed to be told. I am pondering what Gordon is saying. The lack of respect we show to professionals in their jobs. I was on my bike on Mission Ave the other day and a motorist was whistling and yelling "Hey you". I thought he was yelling at me. He was calling to a police officer on a motorcycle parked on the street. I thought to myself "how rude" to address an officer like that. Gordon is right that this is much more than blacks and cops. It is the inherent lack of respect in our society to each other.
