Why Censorship Matters

Gonzaga’s Women and Gender Studies department is tackling another topic of modern debate this week. Hosted at Gonzaga’s Jundt Art Museum, Gonzaga undergraduate students Stephanie Allen and Luke Johnson will present the third installment of the Women and Gender Studies Pop Culture Series entitled “Women’s Bodies, the Internet and N*pples: Why Censorship Matters”. Allen and Johnson are scheduled to explore and elaborate on why censorship of the female body in an internet context matters, and the impact that censoring has on the portrayal of the women’s bodies.
