Wildcrafting & Foraging Useful Wild Plants w/ Michael Pilarski
When: Sun., April 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 2021
We are surrounded by useful plants wherever we go, native and non-native. Food, medicine, seeds, fibers, craft materials, building materials and more. During this session, walk the trails and talk about the plants found along the way. The information will be useful for wildcrafting for home use as well as commercially. We will introduce the main medicinal plants found in Eastern Washington with optimum timing of harvest, collecting techniques, tools, processing, drying and sustainable wildcrafting guidelines. Bring: a brown bag lunch, water bottle/thermos, umbrella and come dressed for the weather. This is an outside event and masks are optional with social distancing.
