For those of us who could care less about that big sports event on Sunday, the best Super Bowl tie-in is definitely all the spin-off TV specials showing adorable kittens and puppies frolicking around a miniature stadium. Even better than the on-screen cute overload is seeing the action up front and in person at the Yuppy Puppy’s eighth annual puppy sporting showcase. With a starting lineup provided by the Spokane Humane Society, each member of the two teams — including “Pawton Manning” and “Cam Neutered” — are also available for adoption during the event. Even if you’re not looking to add a puppy to your family, the event is open to spectators and those interested in swinging by to shop or support the local animal shelter.
