Azaria Podplesky is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in the
Inlander,
The Spokesman-Review (where she was previously an entertainment writer),
The Seattle Times,
Seattle Weekly and
The Oregonian. Her writer-ly fun fact is that she reviewed Motley Crue's final North American concert, held at the Spokane Arena in 2014, for
USA Today.
For the
Inlander, Azaria writes about music, art and culture, and her recent work includes stories on
ghost towns, an up-and-coming
MMA fighter and
food challenges.
Azaria has lived in Eastern Washington since 2008 and recently graduated with a masters in strategic communication from Washington State University. She also has degrees in journalism and communications from Eastern Washington University. During her time at EWU, she interned twice with the
Inlander, focusing mostly on music writing. Contact her at
