Washington state has declared a state of emergency after a coronavirus death and more diagnoses here have led officials to believe the virus may have been circulating undetected for weeks, the Washington Post reports.

The Colville School District closed its schools Monday while waiting for coronavirus test results on an individual they gave no further details about, KXLY reports.
Guardians Foundation cries foul on loss of city contract
The Guardians Foundation, which operated emergency warming shelter space last winter, claims it may have lost a contract with the city this winter after Julie Garcia of Jewels Helping Hands (which won the contract) claimed she'd seen a Guardians employee engaging in sexual behavior with homeless women, but later told police she hadn't actually witnessed that, the Spokesman-Review reports.
