Kobe Bryant, daughter, several others die in Sunday crash
Basketball legend Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash that also took the lives of his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other passengers on Sunday, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Coronavirus spread accelerating
While concerns continue to grow over the rapidly spreading coronavirus out of China, which has already killed at least 80 people there, health officials question the timing and effectiveness of quarantining entire cities and millions of people in the country if that also makes it harder to get medical supplies in, the New York Times reports. 

Who gets the short end of the stick?
An Idaho lawmaker who thinks property taxes are unfair has introduced a bill that would repeal them and make up for the lost revenue by raising the state's sales tax to more than 11 percent, KREM reports.
