Gleason Fest to bring the Dandy Warhols, the Grizzled Mighty and more to Riverfront Park on Aug. 10

Gleason Fest, the annual music festival that also raises money for ALS research, has announced this year's lineup, which will be headlined by Portland rockers the Dandy Warhols. The daylong event takes over Riverfront Park's Lilac Bowl Amphitheater on Aug. 10, and will also feature performances by the Grizzled Mighty, Delbert and Left Hand Smoke. Additional performers being announced later in the summer.

General admission tickets will run you $30, and VIP access will be available for $80. They go on sale this Friday, June 28, through TicketsWest.

Gleason Fest is named for Spokane native Steve Gleason, whose NFL career was cut short when he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease in 2011. His Team Gleason organization has raised millions of dollars for people living with ALS, providing them with medical equipment and travel opportunities.

With his namesake festival, Gleason has been bringing some of his favorite artists to his hometown for eight years, and the Dandy Warhols are a great get. Best known for catchy, witty singles like "Bohemian Like You," "Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth" and "We Used to Be Friends" (the latter of which was used as the theme song for the cult series Veronica Mars), the Warhols are now on a tour celebrating their 25th anniversary and the release of their new album Why You So Crazy.

Previous Gleason Fest headliners have included Portugal. The Man, Blue Scholars, Blind Pilot, Grouplove and Lukas Nelson.
