Desert island discs

by Reed Schmitt

At first I thought it was really tough to choose only five CDs to be stranded on an island with. But since I don't have a solar powered CD player, I would

gladly trade them for some chicken.

Kiss, Alive: I've liked early Kiss ever since I was a little kid. This album is live and has most of its early hits on it. The first concert I ever went to was Kiss in the Seattle Coliseum. It was quite an experience.

Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti: Hands down my favorite Zeppelin album. I wore out three or four copies of the record before CDs were invented.

Duffy Bishop Band, Back to the Bone: Gotta have at least one blues CD. This is one of my favorites. I saw Duffy a few weeks ago at a festival near Grand Coulee.

Queen, Live Killers: This CD can't begin to capture all the energy of this band's live performance, but I guess it's the next best thing.

Phish: Hampton Comes Alive. Great live Phish. Since I only get to choose five discs, it was tough to choose between Grateful Dead and Phish, but I had to choose one. This is it.
