The annual Hi-Jinks Parade starts at 10 am on Saturday, Aug. 6, with fire engines and classic cars, Shriners in funny hats and regular folks in silly costumes, giving the community an excuse to display its pride.
Young rockers from Spokane will play in Harmon Park from noon until 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and until 5 pm on Sunday. Those seeking more family-friendly tunes can saunter across the street to the Market Street Market on Saturday for gospel and Irish folk music. For all you country fans, the Festival has snagged Barry Lee White to play at on Saturday at 6 pm.
So come on out to Hillyard, get your face painted, eat too much, get locked up in the stocks from the Renaissance fair and get a dose of the greatness of Hillyard for yourself, up close and personal.
