Rest in peace, The Peak.
If your car radio is tuned to 105.7 FM, you'll no longer be hearing The Peak — as of noon today, the station switched over to a new format and name,
NOW 105.7 FM. It's all pop — Usher, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga — all the time, with an afternoon show hosted by none other than … Ryan Seacrest?
Not that The Peak was a beacon of independence — but if there was ever a reason to support independent radio (namely
KYRS on 92.3 FM) before, I believe this is a good time to start.
