Local poets at the MAC tonight

The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture is again teaming up with artistic cooperative Terrain. This time, it's for Spokane Words, an evening of readings by established and emerging Inland Northwest poets.

Tonight at 6pm at the MAC, Robert Wrigley and Ciara Shuttleworth — two poets whose work has been published in The New Yorker — will read alongside Pushcart Prize winner Nance Van Winckel, Mark Anderson, Ciara Shuttleworth, Kurt Olson, Ashley Ruderman, Jonathan Potter, and Amanda Maule. Todd Marshall, Gonzaga professor and poet, will MC.

The event was inspired by the NEED | WANT and Territory exhibits currently on display at the MAC.

Here's Mark Anderson reading "For Connor" in the basement of Inlander headquarters. (For a way-better adaptation of this performance, check out the video now on display at the MAC.)
