The Return of Adam Morrison?

In 2006, there was no man more famous in Spokane, and perhaps all of college athletics, than Adam Morrison.

By 2010, though, after he failed to make an NBA roster, we didn't hear much about the mustachioed scoring machine.

That has changed over the course of the last year, culminating in the biggest Adam Morrison news in a long, long while when it was announced that the Portland Trailblazers had added Morrison to their training camp roster.

Early reports indicated that Morrison had a year-long contract with the team, but now it appears that wasn't the case. He still has to make the squad, but if he plays like he did with the Clippers' summer league team a few months ago, that might not be a problem.

Here is Morrison, despite being clean shaven, looking a helluva lot like his old Gonzaga-star self.

Morrison — who had at one point moved back to Spokane and all but given up on basketball — started making noise again last fall when he showed up in a Serbian league and became an instant fan favorite. Here's a touching account of his return to basketball.

There are no shortage of Am-Mo haters out there, that's for sure, but come on, you can't help but root for this native son's comeback story, right?
