THIS WEEKEND IN MUSIC: Happy!!!!!!!!

PANTS PARTY! Go home, and put on your dancin' Pants. Spokane's favorite turntablist comes back to get us in the weekend mood. James Pants is throwing a dance party for everyone who can cram into Mootsy's tonight. Jams will be kicked out at 10 pm. $5. Gotta be 21.

Hop in your car, drive 20 minutes. You'll be at Medical Lake's Blue Waters Bluegrass Festival — this year, showcasing some amazing national bluegrass talent. Check out our story here, which includes picks for the best acts to see through the weekend. Don't miss Dan Tyminski (remember that song from O Brother Where Art Thou? Yeah, that guy) and Della Mae, an all-girl hootin', hollerin' bluegrass band featuring the talent of former local Kimber Ludiker. Tickets range from $10 - $40. All-ages. See here for details.

It'll be quite the ruckus. But that's the best thing about a Whiskey Dick Mountain show! The punchy, gospel-y, blues-y bunch records their album live tomorrow at the Baby Bar. Be there to shout profanities. I'm sure they'll love that. 9:30 pm. Free. Gotta be 21.

Remember "Three Little Pigs?" You know: "Little pig, little pig, let me in…" Yes, the band that brought you that song way back when is still around. Green Jelly plays the Seaside tomorrow night with Oh My Darlin' and 13 Mag. 9 pm. $10. Gotta be 21.

Hmmm… what else is going on this weekend? Hmmm. I can't think of anything.

Oh COME ON guys, I'm just joking:

Black Happy is reuniting! For a show sold-out show tonight and tomorrow (tickets are still available here) at the Knitting Factory. It's been 15 years since the band played a show, and people are coming from all over to see the band play "Three Day Weekend" and "Chicken in a Biscuit" again. Rumor has it there's only a handful of tickets left for the show tomorrow — so get your buns down to the Knit to grab 'em.
